Minneapolis tops our list of America's safest cities, and not just for its crime rate. In ranking the cities on our list, we looked at workplace fatalities, traffic-related deaths and natural disaster risk; the City of Lakes ranked in the top 10 of all four categories.

The Zagat Restaurant Survey released its top-five ranked restaurants in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area this week, awarding La Belle Vie the No. 1 spot. Four other high-end Minneapolis restaurants — 112 Eatery, Alma, Lucia’s and Vincent — rounded out the top five.
Louvre Exhibit on Masterpieces at Mpls Museum

Works of art by Michelangelo and Vermeer are among 62 items from the Louvre in Paris now on display at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. "The Louvre and the Masterpiece" features items drawn from all eight of the Louvre's collection areas, covering 4,000 years of art.
